Afternoon tea outfit, darlings

So it's the month of January and everybody is depressed because Christmas is over.

Well, not me... because January is my BIRTHDAY MONTH!!! :D

I kicked it off with a big bang on Sunday the 18th of January,

It was afternoon teas hosted by my grand mama (I don't actually call her that) an this is what I wore for the special occasion.

Palazzo Pants €12 on sale, New Look
I wanted to wear something different yet fashionable, so I saw these on sale in New Look. They cost €12 and I wear them to special occasions and once to a 21st. Best 21st ever. They are so comfortable as well. I love the pattern on them. It makes them stand out. They also look good with flat shoes or high heels. Both of these can be seen in my previous blogs "Dressy casual night look".

Peach/light pink blazer €12, New Look

When I saw this blazer in New Look I just had to have it. I love colours and needed something for a night out. It cost €12, same as the palazzo pants above. This was on sale also. You can wear it with leather looking jeans, the pants above, jeans if going to lunch with girlfriends and anything you can think of.

Clutch bag, New Look

I got this bag as a present from one of my friends at Christmas time so I don't know how much it cost, but I saw it in New Look when I was in there the other day and they also have it in black. You would think it wouldn't go with the colour of the peach/pale pink blazer but it works. Especially because the bottom half of my outfit was a dark colour.

I wore a simple white tank top with it which brightens up the outfit in this winters month.

You could also wear some bangles or a long necklace to make the outfit pop with sparkles if you were heading out on the town, but since it was afternoon tea I decided to keep it simple.

This is my finished outfit:

Let me know what you think in the comments below.

Spring has arrived!

Hi dolls!

Firstly, I'm sorry for not posting in about two weeks. It's been a hectic week!

Secondly, excuse the lack of make-up in these photos. (I hope I don't look too scary.)

Anyway... my look this week is an outfit that you could wear if you're meeting up with friends for coffee during the day.

However, you could also wear it if you're going to your local pub or somewhere with a relaxed atmosphere.

So let's get started.

Picture 1
Picture 1: I got this in Penneys last week on sale from €31 to €15. When I saw it, I knew I had to buy it. It was calling my name. Really, it was! The picture doesn't even do the colour or style justice. They also had it in blue, but I thought the white looked more classy and better for Spring and summer time. It will probaly get filthy, but it is totally worth the money.

Picture 2

Picture 2: I AM IN LOVE WITH THIS TOP!! I bought it in New Look for €14 or €15. It looks much better on than it does on the hanger. I like the fact that you could wear this on a summers day but also dress it up with leather jeans or a skirt and heels and wear it on a night out to the local. It could even be worn with sandles and tucked into shorts or a flowy skirt on holidays and still look stylist.

I wore this with jeans from Penneys that I have talked about in my previous 'Sunny college day look'. J'adore them too! Take a look and see if you like them as much as I do.

Picture 3: This is one of my most prized possessions because it belonged to my nana. #Vintage. I do love my high street clothes, but when you own something like this, which is so pretty, you have to mix and match. It is made from real wool and is so cosy. I wore it all the time during winter (and still now, because Ireland only has one climate), because it brightened up my outfits and went with almost everything.

If I was wearing this outfit during the day I would pair it with my M&S sunglasses and either the cream bag that I mention in my previous blog 'Sunny college day look', or a black clutch.

Picture 4

These are the shoes I wore. They were €11 in Penneys, but when I went up to the till, they scanned in at €3. Absolute bargain! I would say they look like they are from a more expensive high street shop than Penneys. I love when miracles like that happen. You can't go wrong with €3 shoes that were supposed to be €11. They go with everything too because of their colour.

Finalemente, el aspecto final...

I hope you like it!

Till next time mes amis...

Au revoir!

Dressy-casual night look

This is my dressy-casual look.
This is the perfect outfit for going when when you do not feel like getting too dressed up, but you want to make that bit of an effort.

Picture 1:
  • This is my favourite top to wear on a night out. I love it because it is brightens up any outfit with its vivid colouring and subtle floral design. This was €5 in Penneys. €5! You can't go wrong with that and especially as it looks like it's from a more expensive shop.

  • The blazer is navy and I wear this most of the time too because it goes with dresses, trousers, anything really. It is quite light, suitable for Spring and you can dress it up for a night out on the town or make a day outfit look that bit more sophisticated. It was €23 in Penneys.
Picture 2:
  • This ring is a tad big for me, but I wear it anyway. I bought it on 'Las Ramblas' in Barcelona. It was €3 and I love it to bits. I makes your outfit that more put together shall we say.
  • My theme was red/orange as you can see, so light red and gold bangles were perfect and they did not clash with the silver in the ring because the ring is white and silver. The bangles were €2.50/€3 in Penneys.

Picture 3:
  • These are my ALL time favourite shoes. They are as red as they are in the picture. They cost me €18 and they were worth EVERY.SINGLE.penny I paid for them. I bought them in early November, in Penneys and try to organize my outfits around them. Crazy, I know! But look at how pretty they are?!

Picture 4:
  • This is my ensemble. I didn't take a picture of my leather look jeans, but you can slightly see them in picture 4. I bought these in Zara for, wait for it... €39.95. They are most definitely worth the price because I bought them a year and a half ago and there are not rips in them at all. You can also wear these during the day with a white string top and a cardigan with black ankle boots you can buy in most high street shops.

That's my casual night out outfit.

Au revoir mes amis.
