21st attire.

Hi dolls!

I know I've been away for about ten years, but I'm back now. :D

It is the year for 21st (for me anyway. So many coming up.)

I went out last weekend to Dtwo nightclub on Harcourt street in Dublin city for one of my friends 21st.

I was walking around town two days before the night out looking for something to wear.

I was like a buzzing bee running around because I had worn all of my other clothes before... and you can be seen in an outfit you have worn before. :P

I went into a shop called 'Noname' on Henry street. It has a sale on now, so get in there id you're looking for good quality clothes and nice going out/casual wear.

I got a royal blue dress with subtle black patterns on it to give the dress an edge. It is also backless which make it sexy but not slutty.

I think I could be in love with it. :P hehe

It cost me €10. TEN EURO!! for a dress this nice. Where else would you find this? Not many places.

Here is the final outfit:

Backless and sexy.

Dress, Noname, €10.

Then to match the dress and vamp it up, I wore red high heels. I love these. They cost me €18 in Penneys.

Accessories I wore were dark rings that can turn into one ring if you want it to and a black clutch bag which can both be seen in 'City Chic' and Summer outfit'.

Accessories add to an outfit and bling it up a bit.

I also wore a black leather jacket, to give it an edgy feel.

They are in my other blog 'Dressy casual look'. Take a look! :)

I hope you like it and I'll talk you guys again next weekend.

(Vlog to come soon too)

Thanks for reading.

Danke/merci/gracias...

City Chic!

Hi dolls! :D

(I had to put a smiley face in. I'm just in such a good mood from being in New York Last week. I am most definitely moving there some time in the near future.)

This weeks post is about a jumpsuit I bought in a shop called Century21 in New York down by Wall street. It is a massive! and when I say massive I don't mean gorgeous like some people say here in Dublin, Ireland. When I say massive, I mean HUGE. It has 5 floor, all packed full of last seasons designer clothes, handbags, accessories, watches, lingerie, nightwear and much more. And it is all for both men and women. If you are ever get a chance to go to New York, go there.

I bought this jumpsuit by 'city triangles'. It's obviously some designer that is located in America and has not made it worldwide. It cost me $30... WITHOUT tax. Thirty dollars in euro is 22.07. How good is that for designer? None of the clothes, accessories and everything I mentioned above, do not have tax on them. It's brilliant!
$30 designer jumpsuit

It is a medium because Americas small size over there is about a size 4-6. I'm an 8. I love it though. Such vibrant colours and you can wear it with sandals, which is in my blog post 'Playful Playsuits', or high heels on a night out. Nude shoes would be perfect and a cream or nude blazer for the Spring or Summer months. Then black or navy shoes and blazer or jacket for the Winter.

See my other posts 'Summer Outfit', 'Spring Has Arrived', 'Sunny College Day Look' and 'Dressy-casual night look' for jacket, blazer and shoe inspiration.

My bag to match this outfit is a label called 'London Fog'. I had never heard of them until I went to America. They do very nice luggage and handbags. They are an American owned brand. Take a look at their website of you like the look of the bag below. (Link at bottom of page.)  I would use this bag when I am going to lunch with my girls. It is last seasons stock, but I absolutely adore it. It cost me $50 which is €36.78, which is a very good price for a designer handbag.

$50 'London Fog' Handbag
I would use this clutch below if I was going out for drinks or dinner, with my blazer on. Hehe.

Night out bag with outfit, Penneys, €7
The accessory I wore with this outfit was a silver and white ring. I just wore one accessory because the outfit spoke for itself. It did not need a whole lot of jewllery to make it look chic. This ring can be seen in my blog post 'Dressy-casual night look'. It's fab! I bought it at a market stall in Barcelona on Las Ramblas. They have gorgeous jewellery (obviously not real gold and silver), very cheap.

This is my final look.

I hope you like it.

Final look.

Blazer time!!
Until next time...

Merci/gracias/danke/Thank you,

Mes amis.

Airport Chic.

Hi dolls!

Since I am heading to the big apple tomorrow I decided to show you my airport style.

When going to the airport and going on such a long flight as I am, you need to be comfortable, but have to look stylish at the same time.

You see celebrities coming out of the airport in dresses, etc, but they are either on short flights, have private planes where they can get changed in before they come through the airport.

We can't do that, unless we win the lottery or come into big money out of the blue.

So, this is what I am planning to wear on the plane tomorrow.

Baseball T-shirt from Penneys, €10.
I bought this is Penneys for €10. I know, you're thinking ten euro for this. Honestly, I wear it when I can, which is basically all of the time.

I love some of the American type T-shirts. Especially when it makes you look gangsta. Haha. (You should see me when I'm drunk. Most of my friends say I get so gangster when I get inebriated.)

Anyway, it is comfy and great in warm weather because it doesn't stick to you.

With this I will be wearing leggings because they keep you warmish when you are so many feet in the air and when you get off the plane they do not make you too warm or too cold.

Leggings, Forever 21, €3.
Okay! I know they look odd on the hanger, but as the majority of people on planet earth must know, they define your figure quite well and can be mega comfy, depending on where you buy them.

They can also last you a good few month to a year. Again depending on where you buy them.

I bought these in Forever 21. I know! Stepping out of my comfort zone of Penneys.

They cost me €3 on sale. I think they are €6 when they are not on sale. The material they are made out of is good for leggings as it it thick, but not too thick for summer wear. Just enough that your underwear is not showing.

I would highly recommend buying them.

With this outfit, I plan to wear dolly shoes which can be seen in my other blog 'Spring has arrived'. They are jet black with a thin bow on the front of them. Take a look. You might love them.

I painted my nails yesterday because I hadn't in a good while. Here is how they turned out.

Nail varnish from Dunnes Stores.

I got this nail varnish as a present from my brother a year ago. It's from Dunnes Stores. How do I know this since I got it as a present, because I saw it in the shop when I was looking for other people's gifts.
It actually works really well considering it is not a well known brand. Again, I think it might just be me, but I have to use two coats to get the look I like. Still a great product.

To complete the whole outfit, this is the bag I will be bringing onto the plane with me. I again got this as a gift, but any big bag that is your style will make an outfit. Make sure the colours match though. You can't go out mismatching. You would look silly then.

Gift from a friend.
You can't forget your sunnies. Take a look back at my other blogs 'Flaunt what you've got' and 'Sunny college day look' to see what sunglasses I have discussed.

This is my completed outfit.

Let me know what you think by leaving a comment below.

I will not be posting next Friday as I will be away. So I will see you all in  two weeks.

Flaunt what you've got.

This week I went out for cocktails with my girlfriends. It was great fun.

The sun was shining and it was mega hot outside. (Weird for Ireland, but I'm not complaining.)

This is what I decided to wear, but you could easily wear it for lunch too.

Top from H&M. €7.
I took a step back from Penneys and bought this in H&M. This is from their 'basics' collection. I just loved the style of it. The elongation at the back and the shortness at the front, but not too short so if you don't have a toned stomach like I do, you don't feel too self conscious. The white and stripes with is all in this summer. Especially with block colour shorts or jeans. It cost €7 and I war it so much. Definitely worth a buy.

You can wear jeans, shorts or even a skirt with this top, but in a block colour. Otherwise the outfit would look strange, in my opinion. See the jeans I wore with it in my blog post 'Sunny college day look'.

The shoes I wore with it are mentioned in my other blog post 'Spring has arrived'. If you were wearing jeans, you may get away with wearing high heels. However, flatter shoes would look better because it makes your outfit more summer like.

For shoes, see my blog posts 'Summer outfit', for high heels that may go with it if worn with a blazer which is also mentioned in that blog post, 'Spring has arrived' for the dolly shoes and 'Playful playsuits' for sandals which would make the outfit so much more summery.

To make this look a bit more quirky, I added rings, a bag and sunglasses to my outfit.

I got the butterfly ring as a present for my 19th birthday off a close friend. Therefor, I don't know how much it was, but it is one of the best gifts I have received. If you have an old ring a home or even go and buy some in any high street shop; wear them!!! It brightens up any outfit. Whether Winter, Summer, Spring or Autumn.

The ring on my index finger I bought on holidays. I thought the colours of both rings matched and it completed my outfit so much.

Sorry about the chipped nail varnish by the way. (Very unprofessional!)
The black nail varnish id Rimmel's one minute dry nail varnish. It definitely does what it says on the bottle, but I like really strong colours so I had to give it a second coating. That's just my preference though. Still an amazing product and they have various different colours. This product is €5.29 in most Boots pharmacies nationwide. Link to product here: http://www.boots.ie/en/Rimmel/Rimmel-nail-polish/

However, if you are looking for vibrant, luminous colours, I would go with Barry M which is the white colour I am wearing. This product takes a tad longer to dry, but it worth it as it lasts a good while. This product is €5.99 in most Boots pharmacies nationwide. Definitely worth the price though.

These are the other rings I wore to complete the outfit. You got to wear rings on both hands. It makes your outfit different to others. I got both of these as presents as well so unfortunately cannot tell you the price of them. The nail varnish is the same as mentioned above.

Bag, €11, Penneys.

I bought this bag during the Winter months in Penneys for €11, but it is still in store. It is so handy as it is big enough to hold all girls essentials. I bring it with me (almost) everywhere. I say almost in brackets because it matches most casual yet stylish clothing, but would not match a dress you wear to a nightclub or somewhere like that. Definitely worth a buy for €11.

Sunglasses, €3, Penneys.

How cool are these sunglasses? They cost... wait for it... €3!! They are UV protected and for that you cannot go wrong with €3 sunglasses Especially sine they are so cool. Almost from something like the eighties except more stylish. They complete and outfit for me. Maybe that's just because I adore them so much. Who knows?! Go on! Guess where I bought these?

This is the completed look:

The finished look.
That's it for today.

If you have any comments or questions, let me know.

Until next time...

Playful Playsuits

This week I will be talking about playsuits.

Since it is the summer time (well in other countries besides Ireland anyway), it is the perfect time to get that old playsuit out of your wardrobe and put it to good use.

Or even better, buy one. There are plenty to choose from out there if you look hard enough.

I love playsuits because you can wear them to a casual gathering, the beach or out for dinner. All you have to do is add a blazer to the playsuit and you're a sexy, stylish woman.

Can you guess where I bought mine? That's right! PENNEYS!

I probably seem like an ambassador for Penneys, but I am a poor student in need of a job. Therefore I shop in Penneys most of the time. Not only that, but they have so many stylish pieces for such good prices.

This is the playsuit I bought for €11 in Penneys.

It is so comfortable to walk around in all day. Even in hot balmy weather because it does not cling to your body.

Playsuit: €11, Penneys
The shoes I would wear with this would be sandals because I am usually in a country with warm sunny weather. These are the sandals I bought. Also from Penneys. €13.

Sandals; €13, Penneys
These are also very comfortable to walk in, however, they can catch on certain types of surface areas, so if you are walking long distances I would wear shoes that are practicable but stylish at the same time, as that is the aim of the game. Right?

As mentioned above, playsuits are not just for casual wear. They can be dressed up too.

Pop a blazer and some high heels on to make it a going out to dinner outfit.

Check out what blazers I have in my previous blogs, 'Summer Outfit' and 'Dressy-casual night look'.
A nice white or cream blazer would spruce this outfit up and make it colourful and summery. Like Kourtney Kardashian's outfit seen in the pictures of the celebrities below.

If you are going out to a restaurant on holidays, or if it happens to be spectacular in Ireland, these shoes would be perfect for a playsuit with a blazer outfit. They are €24.99 and so worth it as they are easy to walk in and go with almost anything. Link it below. These shoes would also be perfect with a crop top and a pencil skirt. However, that is another topic and perhaps a blog discussion.

Shoes from New Look website.

Wedge shoes could also work but, in my opinion, would make the outfit more casual, yet stylish at the same time.

That is my view on playsuits.

Let me know what you think.

Until next time mes amis.

Au revoir!

Summer Outfit!

I'm sorry, I;m sorry, I'm sorry I'm sorry, I'm sorry.

I know I haven't posted in about a decade.

I have exams. *sadface*

That's what I've been up to, and still am ...

Moving on from the boredom of my life, let's talk fashion.

Summer has... sort of arrived. I'm sure it has in other countries, but Ireland is all four seasons combined into one day.

We were on a roll for about three or four days in a row where it felt like summer. Then, along came the rain.

Anyhoo, I was out about two weeks ago for a birthday and was heading out to The Workmans, but ended up in Coppers. It's great craic on a Friday night, just incase all you dolls are wondering. ;-)

Because I didn't know where we were going to end up, I wore a dressy-casual look. I think the top is quite summer like. Let me know what you think.

Pink dotted top

I got this pink dotted top from Penneys for €4. They also have it in navy. It's brilliant! It goes with almost everything. A skirt, jeans, baggy trousers, anything you can think of.  The material is not flimsy either like Penneys clothes can be. Here I am wearing it with jeans and high heels. I also wore a blazer and jewelry. Look at my previous blogs on what jewelry I wore. It brightens up any outfit because of the colour. One of the best tops I own.

Black sophisticated blazer
This is the black blazer I wore that night and bought in Penneys for €5. That's right! €5! It was on sale two weeks ago, and Penneys just happened to have it in black and in my size. It was a sign that I should buy it. I think it looks very sophisticated. A blazer makes any outfit that bit more sophisticated. And black goes with everything.

New Look High Heels
I was given these by my friend. She said they were too big for her but I think she just didn't like them haha. They are so comfy to wear on a night out because they are wedges. They go with almost everything as well. I try to wear them as much as I can. I don't know how much they were, but they are from New Look which always do amazing shoes.

This if my final look:

My final outfit
I hope you like it!

Au revoir mes amis.

Until next time...

Spring has arrived!

Hi dolls!

Firstly, I'm sorry for not posting in about two weeks. It's been a hectic week!

Secondly, excuse the lack of make-up in these photos. (I hope I don't look too scary.)

Anyway... my look this week is an outfit that you could wear if you're meeting up with friends for coffee during the day.

However, you could also wear it if you're going to your local pub or somewhere with a relaxed atmosphere.

So let's get started.

Picture 1
Picture 1: I got this in Penneys last week on sale from €31 to €15. When I saw it, I knew I had to buy it. It was calling my name. Really, it was! The picture doesn't even do the colour or style justice. They also had it in blue, but I thought the white looked more classy and better for Spring and summer time. It will probaly get filthy, but it is totally worth the money.

Picture 2

Picture 2: I AM IN LOVE WITH THIS TOP!! I bought it in New Look for €14 or €15. It looks much better on than it does on the hanger. I like the fact that you could wear this on a summers day but also dress it up with leather jeans or a skirt and heels and wear it on a night out to the local. It could even be worn with sandles and tucked into shorts or a flowy skirt on holidays and still look stylist.

I wore this with jeans from Penneys that I have talked about in my previous 'Sunny college day look'. J'adore them too! Take a look and see if you like them as much as I do.

Picture 3

Picture 3: This is one of my most prized possessions because it belonged to my nana. #Vintage. I do love my high street clothes, but when you own something like this, which is so pretty, you have to mix and match. It is made from real wool and is so cosy. I wore it all the time during winter (and still now, because Ireland only has one climate), because it brightened up my outfits and went with almost everything.

If I was wearing this outfit during the day I would pair it with my M&S sunglasses and either the cream bag that I mention in my previous blog 'Sunny college day look', or a black clutch.

Picture 4

These are the shoes I wore. They were €11 in Penneys, but when I went up to the till, they scanned in at €3. Absolute bargain! I would say they look like they are from a more expensive high street shop than Penneys. I love when miracles like that happen. You can't go wrong with €3 shoes that were supposed to be €11. They go with everything too because of their colour.

Finalemente, el aspecto final...

I hope you like it!

Till next time mes amis...

Au revoir!

Paddy's Day day and night outfits.

This blog is a tad late because Saint Patrick's weekend is just over, but this was my day and night look for the weekend.

Day outfit:

I was studying on Saint Patrick's day (so much fun, I can tell you're all jealous.).
Therefore, I decided to wear the jeans I got in Penneys that I mentioned in my previous blog called 'sunny college day look'.

I had a plain white string top on underneath the jumper. I have LOADS of them because they go with anything. So handy in that way. They're about €4 in Penneys.

This jumper is my all time favourite. I bought this in Lidl for €17. I love the bagginess of it. The material on the inside is also really soft and not harsh like some of the jumpers you can buy. I am constantly wearing it that my mother tells me 'it's one of the the best things you've bought'.

I put a simple ponytail in my hair and last year, but you could still get them this year, bought the ribbon hairpiece for €2-€3 in, guess where...? Penneys! If it even cost that much. I know I look lie a school girl, but I wanted to be festive.

I paint my nails like this every year. The nail polish is BarryM. I use this brand most of the time because it actually stays on your nails for long periods of time. They are €3-€4 in most pharmacies or retail shops for one bottle. I think this is good because they last a good couple of months.

Night outfit:

This is my shocking attempt at trying to wear green on Paddy's night. It is a khaki green colour, so technically it is green...

Anyway... I got this playsuit in Penneys for €11, but the brilliant thing about it is that you can dress it up like the picture above, or you can wearing it on a sunny day/on holidays with sandles and some sunnies (sun glasses).

I am wearing the red shoes i mentioned in my previous blog named 'Dressy-casual night look'.

I wore a navy blazer with the outfit too. (Also mentioned in 'Dressy-casual night look'.) I feel that it completes the outfit if you wear a blazer or a leather jacket of some sort.

They were my two outfits for Paddy's day.

I hope you enjoyed reading it and feel the same love for Penneys/Primark as I do.

Til next time, mis amigos...

Au revoir!

Sunny college day look

This is my college day look.

I am studying in college at the moment, and go to a college where fashion is the be all and end all, even though there is not undergraduate course for fashion.

I like to dress glamorously to catch the boys attention ;-).

Just kidding! I dress like I do because I want to feel glamorous. (There are some seriously good looking guys in my college though).

Enough about boys and my college life and onto where I got all of these beautiful clothes and accessories.

Most of my accessories and clothes today are from penneys. You may think what a cheap skate, but hey... their clothes are so good that they look like designer clothes. Just wait until you see the outfit at the very end.

Picture 1
I got this bag a million years ago when I was about thirteen. I bought it in penneys and love it because it gives the outfit a Spring/Summer feel to it or can lighten your mood (especially when it is a sunny day), instead of another black or dull coloured bag which can make an outfit look plain. It was €11 in Penneys and I'm sure you would find a very similar one in the same shop these days. It also looks quite expensive for the price that it was.

Picture 2

These are my ALL time favourite sunglasses. I bought them in Marks and Spencers. Now, I don't normally shop here, biut when I was walking through I saw them and they drew me over like a magpie to shiney objects. They were €40! They were most definitely worth that amount because they are UV protective and you will look great with them on. They also come with the pouch on which they are placed. I have probably worn them to death by now, but I just love them to bits.

Picture 3

I got this scarf as a present from my auntie the Christmas just gone. It is navy with white heart design. I saw another person wearing the same scarf last week, so they probably still have them in stock, except the scarf was black with pink hearts. I saw it in Penneys the other day, but again is looks and feels like it could have been an expensive scarf. It probably costs about €4 - 5. You could even wear a white scarf with navy on it as well if you wanted to brighten your outfit up even more.

Picture 4
My one and only leather jacket (I really need to get a new one, I know! Still searching for that perfect one. ;-) ). However, today this jacket was perfect for what I was wearing. It is a size 12 and i'm a size 8 so it is big, but not too big on me that it looks odd. It cost €9 in Penneys in the sales. ( I can't resist a sale. Even in penneys.)

Picture 5
I bought this for, wait for it... €4 in Penneys. €4!! You can't complain about that. It looks like it could be from an expensive shop. I love the simplicity of it because it is not just white. It has the black around the neckline and the shoulders. This again is a size 12 because I like my flowy tops to actually be flowy and not a top that looks like a bellytop but isn't.
I wore this out with leather leggings, the red shoes and navy blazer from my previous blog and made it a night time outfit. A casual one at that, but still a night time outfit. Therefore this top is so adaptable and for €4, you cannot go wrong.
So, GO OUT AND BUY IT YOU MAD THINGS!!!!

Picture 6

I cannot rave about these jeans enough. I keep telling all of my friends how much i adore them. They're sick of me by now. I bought them in Penneys, yet again (my favourite shop as you can tell), for €17. I find it hard to find jeans that fit me right, so when I tried these on I HAD to buy them. There was no question about it. They fit very nicely and go with everything. You could even put these with heels and a nice top and wear them out to a club or the pub.

Et vuala... The finished look!

Match this with navy or cream coloured pumps and your day is off to a magnificent start.

Until next time...

Au revoir mes amis.

Dressy-casual night look

This is my dressy-casual look.
This is the perfect outfit for going when when you do not feel like getting too dressed up, but you want to make that bit of an effort.

Picture 1:
  • This is my favourite top to wear on a night out. I love it because it is brightens up any outfit with its vivid colouring and subtle floral design. This was €5 in Penneys. €5! You can't go wrong with that and especially as it looks like it's from a more expensive shop.
Picture 1

  • The blazer is navy and I wear this most of the time too because it goes with dresses, trousers, anything really. It is quite light, suitable for Spring and you can dress it up for a night out on the town or make a day outfit look that bit more sophisticated. It was €23 in Penneys.
Picture 2:
  • This ring is a tad big for me, but I wear it anyway. I bought it on 'Las Ramblas' in Barcelona. It was €3 and I love it to bits. I makes your outfit that more put together shall we say.
  • My theme was red/orange as you can see, so light red and gold bangles were perfect and they did not clash with the silver in the ring because the ring is white and silver. The bangles were €2.50/€3 in Penneys.
Picture 2
Picture 3:
  • These are my ALL time favourite shoes. They are as red as they are in the picture. They cost me €18 and they were worth EVERY.SINGLE.penny I paid for them. I bought them in early November, in Penneys and try to organize my outfits around them. Crazy, I know! But look at how pretty they are?!
Picture 3

Picture 4:
  • This is my ensemble. I didn't take a picture of my leather look jeans, but you can slightly see them in picture 4. I bought these in Zara for, wait for it... €39.95. They are most definitely worth the price because I bought them a year and a half ago and there are not rips in them at all. You can also wear these during the day with a white string top and a cardigan with black ankle boots you can buy in most high street shops.
Picture 4

That's my casual night out outfit.

Au revoir mes amis.
